The most popular pollution we have today is air pollution, and one of the sources of air pollution is smoke generated by smoking cigarettes. The quantity produced by smoking may not be more, but the effect it makes on human health is more than the air pollution caused by other factors such as smoke generated by vehicles or factories. Smoking is considered as a pleasure giver to some people. People who are addicted to smoking feel relieved when they smoke cigarettes at the time of stress. But have anyone ever thought about the effect of this smoking on the human body.
Effects of smoking on a human body
A cigarette is made out of tobacco which is rolled into a thin paper. This contains recycled stems of tobacco, scraps, collected dust, stalks, and floor sweepings. Substances like chemicals, fillers, and required glues are then added to this. Then they are sprayed with nicotine which is extracted from tobacco scraps. Now it is ready to be used for smoking. The procedure looks simple, but the effect it makes on the human body is drastic. It develops chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases and heart diseases apart from lung cancer.
A person who is smoking spoils his health by smoking but the smoke generated after the smoking person exhales is inhaled by others also get affected. Experts state that nicotine is being exposed when cigarettes are burnt. This nicotine is considered a potentially lethal poison by medical practitioners. It is the usage of nicotine that disturbs the health of the person inhaling it.
Some of the other effects of smoking cigarettes on human body parts are

A person may develop Type2 diabetes which has a direct effect on blood vessels all over the body resulting in numbness of fingers or feet. If the blood vessels are blocked, or the flow is not normal, then it may lead to other complication. This situation may not be due to smoking, but smoking adds more problems to the current health condition.

In spite of enlisting so many bad effects of smoking, people are still crazy about smoking cigarettes. But to control the deaths occurring to cigarette smoking, researchers are working hard to come across a new product, which is more appealing. One such product is e-cigarette- a modified version of ordinary cigarettes.
What is an electronic cigarette?
An electronic cigarette is also known as vapes. The word vape is originated from the word “Vapor.” Vape in nothing, but inhaling or exhaling a vapor that is produced by an electronic cigarette or a similar device. An electronic cigarette is an electronic device which can be held by hand to stimulate the feeling of smoking. Being electronic, these cigarettes run on battery. The mechanism is very simple: – it heats a liquid to generate an aerosol which the user tries to inhale. The liquid used in e-cigarettes is called as e-liquid which is normally made out of nicotine, propylene glycol, glycerin, and other flavorings. There are some liquids which do not contain nicotine.
How e-cig works?
Normally when an electronic cigarette is kept in the mouth and heated, the nicotine in the vapes or electronic cigarettes passes into the lungs and then the bloodstream. The only difference between an ordinary cigarette and the vapes or electronic cigarette is that they don’t produce any smoke or tar. Except for these two things all other harmful things get into your body. The person may find the complication such eye irritation, blurry vision; wounds and burns in case of vapes explode. The use of nicotine in e-cigarettes may lead to indigestion, inhalation or absorption through the skin or eyes and may get poisoned. Researchers have stated that theflavors like cinnamon used in vapes may lead to inflammation of lung cells. In spite of bad effects, some people use vapes when they want to quit original smoking cigarettes which have high-risk factors.
Some even state that using vapes helps in cost-cutting measures and at the same time the feeling of smoking can be enjoyed. Even the odor it releases is nil when compared to the original cigarettes made of tobacco. If there is anything that can replace cigarettes made out of tobacco, it is this vapes or electronic cigarettes because they contain features which are less risky. Smoker’s exposure to carcinogens other such toxin substances found in tobacco can be reduced. Researchers have concluded that tobacco smoke contains 100 known carcinogens and approximately 900 potentially cancer-causing chemicals which is not traceable in vapes.
When it is proved that cigarettes smoking is harmful to health, and then no matter you use ordinary cigarettes or vapes, the range of damage may differ, but the damage is sure to be faced by the human body.
